A God Who Answers | Part Two.

We continue with our meditations in The Book of Daniel. We dig deeper into verse 13 of Chapter 10. It reads,
"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia."
Let us dig a bit more into the phrase "withstood me." Note we drew a parallel with the "stand-your-ground" law in the States. Wikipedia helps in defining what this law implies. It reads,
"A stand-your-ground law, sometimes called "line in the sand" or "no duty to retreat" law, provides that people may use deadly force when they reasonably believe it to be necessary to defend against certain violent crimes (right of self-defense)."
Territories, just like human or animal bodies, are important to demonic spirits. This is illustrated in Jesus' story of what happens when a demonic spirit is dispossessed of its human entity. Matthew 12:43-45 tells us,

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Note the usage of the word rest, and where the demonic spirits find it. We see the same in human and societal manifestations of these spirits. They always seek to find peace and rest by imposing themselves on others. They have no grounds for negotiations. It is their way or the highway.

So, an easy way to see these spirits in operation is in cults; places, and movements with the herd mentality and reasonings. It is a shame to find these operational in some denominations and supposed churches. It sure tells a lot about which spirit pervades in such a gathering. It ain't God for sure.

The Saint.
