“Resolution Ten: Resolved: When I feel pain, to think of the pains of martyrdom – both of Jesus and of Believers around the world; and remind myself of the reality of hell.” ― Jonathan Edwards.
Scriptures:
“But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” ― Philippians 3:7-11, NKJV.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” ― Philippians 3:7-11 8:36, NKJV.
My Resolution:
"Resolved: Never to be comfortable with ease, but to always push for something bigger than me, that I cannot possibly do in my own strength.” ― St. Akin de Sage.
I want to be comfortable with pain. For without pain I cannot come to consciousness. Without pain, I cannot rise from one level of consciousness to the other. I love pain because it gives birth to all I want and need. I choose pain because it is the way to and of life.
I choose pain today so that I might attain unto resurrection tomorrow.
This is my resolve. Help me, O God, my Father, and King.
St. Akin de Sage.
