Let's Go Offshore.

“The mind that opens to a new idea never comes back to its original size.” — Albert Einstein.

That is very much like the saying, "You cannot step into the same river twice." New neurological pathways have been created, creating new realities and opportunities. Such a person has been ushered into a new world which they never knew prior. New responsibilities and demands are placed on such a one, with accompanying rewards and penalties.

To know is to know how much we do not know, and hence the drive to cover such bases. The taste and satiation levels are forever altered. To open up to a new idea is to lose the hold of the familiar shore to begin the search and discovery of new shores, territories, oceans, and lands. It is to expand one's horizon and dare failure to its face. It is to overcome oneself, one's demons; calling on the giant within to rise to the occasion of life.

To open is to achieve. To close is to seek to maintain, which only leads to decay and rot. There is a world waiting to be conquered. There is a destiny waiting to be achieved. We each are the master of our fate. The captain of our soul. Time to lead the ship out.
