There Are No Coincidences in Life: (1/3)

Some people call it a coincidence. I choose to call it “The Call (Drive, Pull) of Destiny.” How come David had access to Saul’s presence ever before he was needed on the battleground? [1 Samuel 16:14-23] How come he came to the battleground at a time there was a need? Which amongst the prices offered by Saul might have motivated David more, and why? [1 Samuel 17:25-27]

"Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction." — John F. Kennedy.

"Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams." — Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Could having access to the palace, prior, played a part? To what extent did being a pre-anointed king affect David's confidence? Was the "roar of a king" in him spurring him? To what intent was David’s encounter with the lion and the bear? [1 Samuel 17:33-37] What difference did these make for David? Would he have had a story (memorial) without them?
