More to Jesus than Just Being Born Again (2/2)

There is much more to Christ than merely being born again. All being born again affords is an initiation to beginning the journey. It is not the end in and of itself. It is ONLY the beginning. Yet our churches are inundated with it. Choosing to build their tentacles and tabernacles on that which is meant to be temporal. They are no different from the Pharisees of old, giving weight, and heed, to their own lust, rather than obeying God.

Here is what Jesus had and has to say.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves." (Matthew 23:15, NKJV)

Is that not a perfect description of what we call evangelism, or going fishing today? We put all the weight on winning the soul, and little or nothing to confirm the soul in Christ. We are all about the first work of Grace, and clueless about the second work of Grace, "consecration.' This is a strange word to a great many today, yet they are deceived they are on the way to heaven. Which one? 

The job is not done just because the person got born again. That is only the beginning. Let us ensure we spread the emphasis and not be lopsided. Jesus is not coming for those who are born again. You'll find that anywhere is scriptures. He is coming back ONLY for those who are expecting Him. [Hebrews 9:28; Luke 12:35-48; Mark 13: 34-37; Matthew 24:42-51] Are you expecting Him or you are about your own business?

He knows those that are His own. Those that are His own know themselves. Are you?
