Stewards of God's Asset

Just a few days ago I was reminiscing my days in Elementary and Secondary School. How much responsibility I shouldered at a very young age. Yet, I am so protective of my 17 years old, mistaking her to be a baby. Really?

Are children taking longer to mature these days, or it is the parents of our generation losing touch with the true meaning and responsibilities of parenting? Our parents produced adults. What are we churning out?

We need to awake from our slumber. And, release our children to grow. We need to release them to their destiny. We need to stop being god over their lives. That position is not vacant and never was. We need to recognize and fulfill the details of our office.

We are each privileged to be stewards of God's asset, children. We need to be mindful of how the owner wants us to go about our responsibility and do accordingly. Our role is only for a time and season.

Thereafter He expects that we release them back to Him to fulfill their own individual purposes. We don't own children. Ownership was never bequeathed to us, and never will. We struggle for ownership at our own detriment and that of the child's.

Disciple your children for the call the master has for them. When they are psychologically weaned, it is time to release them fully to the purpose of God for their life. Does it amaze you in the bible the mother of the kings were typically mentioned?

Let me help you with the street translation of such mentions in scripture. It goes like this,

"Here are the parents of the king, who gave the foundation on which the king built his reign. If he succeeded, here is the motivation. If he failed here is the demotivation. Here is the reason for the success or failure of the kings."

Which will be written of you? Which is being written of you? What are you waiting for?
