Leadership, Not Enslavement

A leader's job is to build on what you already have and who you are. His job and place are not to change your personality. That is enslavement. You are to find yourself and fulfill your own personal goals as you fulfill the group's goals.

Leadership is not enslavement. It does not take away the follower's responsibility nor the ability to think and reason. Rather, it engages it. It does not make the follower who he/she is not.

As Jim Rohn will say, "Be a Student, Not a Follower." Learn the lessons and apply them. Don't be a dump yard. Be a part of the journey of your own life. Engage in the process. It is your own life, after all.
