His Church, "the pillar and ground of the truth." [1 Timothy 3:15] |
“We love the memory we have of how that brand made us feel once….Great marketers don't make stuff. They make meaning.” – Seth Godin
Are you making meaning? What meaning? The one you purposed to, or incidental? Are you aware of it? Do you know how to maintain and grow it? Are you asking questions about it? Hoping the answers to these questions are in the affirmative.
Your customers don't have to buy from you. They don't have to follow you. They will only track if they are getting value; if you are giving them personal service. They are the reason you are in business. Hence, you owe them. They don't owe you.
It is your duty, that is, if you want to win, to cultivate your customers. You have to wait on them. That is how you get brand loyalty. That is how you get cult followership.
For example, no one has to come to your church. You have to give them a reason to come. You owe them; they don't owe you. You are in the people business. Never forget that. If you want to grow your church, then you have to learn how to cultivate people.
Simple logic. Stop fooling yourself with your "no water" excuses. Stop the old shibboleth. It is not the devil. It is simply a lack of wisdom. To be in the people business means you are all about changing lives, not making yourself happy.
Wake up and live. Wake up and get some wisdom.
