Know Thyself (Temet Nosce)

Be Yourself on purpose.
"I know who I am, I know what I can and can't do. I know what I will and won't do. I know what I'm capable of and I don't agree to do things that I don't think I can pull off." ― Dolly Parton

Wisdom:

Do you know yourself? Do you know your Strengths and Weaknesses? Do you know the Opportunities and Threats that avail themselves to you? Are you poised to win in the battles and war of life? Or, are you possessed and deceived by “Que Sera Sera,” the supposed friend of the simple, only looking for an opportunity to stab them in the back.

The Ancient Greeks knew better. They had the aphorism "know thyself" (nosce te ipsum or temet nosce, in Latin) as the first of the three maxims inscribed in the pronaos of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi. The two maxims that followed were "nothing to excess" and "surety brings ruin". The Ancient Greeks knew something we would do good to learn from and save our necks from suddenly being broken.
