Devotional Tea 14: The Life follows the Mind

Scripture: Matthew 15:18-19 (NKJV)

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

Meditation:
Work each day on your thoughts rather than concentrating on your behavior. It is your thinking that creates the feelings you have and ultimately your actions as well. (Wayne Dyer)
Our minds feed on the words (pictures) we make available to it. That is how its codes for functioning are written. Whatever we repeated place before it with belief - be it out of faith or fear - gets engrained in it for function. It is up to us to ensure what we are feeding it is the truth, not mere opinions or facts. In that sense are we responsible for our future. In that sense are we the captain of our own destiny. God wants us to choose and have life, but He will not force that on us. The choice is always ours to make. A life of success requires TRUTH to reach its destined objective.

Further Reading: Joshua 1:6-9; Deuteronomy 8:1-3; Proverbs 23:7-16; Matthew 4:1-4; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from evil. For yours is the glory, the power and the kingdom.
