QUESTION:We cannot believe unless God makes faith possible. So, how is faith a choice? Faithfulness is a choice. – HS, New York, USA
ANSWER:The truth is God has given EVERYONE the portion of faith they NEED. [Romans 12:3] It is not in the size. [Luke 17:6] It is in what you do with what you have been given. And, that is a choice. It is analogous to the parable of the talents. [Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 19:12-28] The size and potency of your faith, talent, part, calling, gifting, etc. is always dependent on the way you see it. [Matthew 17:20] The way you see it will determine what you do with it. What you do with it determines your fulfillment and exaltation, or the lack thereof. And, that is always a choice.
The truth is God has given to EVERYONE the portion of faith they NEED.There is no small faith, talent, gifting or calling. We all have been graced. We have been graced according to our abilities, placing and sovereignty of the potter. [Isaiah 45:9; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:1-16] If you belittle that which has been given to you, you will run and walk in error. (That is assuming you ever move.) The person given one talent had a choice. He chose to exercise it wrongly.
We have been graced according to our abilities, placing and sovereignty of the potter.Faith is always a choice. God has given it to us. He will NEVER force us to believe. That is ALWAYS our choice to make. That is the basis of judgement and what separates (differentiate) us all - the rich from the poor; the successful from the failures; the accomplished from the unaccomplished and the fulfilled from the unfulfilled.
Faith is always a choice.Faith is the basis of faithfulness. Without faith you cannot be faithful. Faith, Hope and love are the driving force of life. [1 Corinthians 13:13; Galatians 5:6; Hebrews 11:1] (I like to see them as my three faithful soldiers.) They work together. They NEVER fall out of line. You cannot have one without the other.
Faith, Hope and Love...I like to see them as my three faithful soldiers. To be faithful you will need to have faith in something or someone. That is a choice.
Hoping this helps.
If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well. (Martin Luther King Jr.)
Remember: there are no small parts, only small actors. (Constantin Stanislavsky)
