Can You See Jesus? |
We continue this week with the story of the sick man healed at the Pool of Bethesda. [John 5:1-15].Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:5-6, NKJV)
Can you see Jesus? Do you see Jesus? Can you see all He has done for you on the cross? Are His death and resurrection making a difference for you? Do you know who you are and all you are entitled to, in Christ Jesus? Why not, if not? You got the Word. [John 17:17] You got the Holy Ghost. [John 16:13; 1 Corinthians 2] You have the Epistles (letters to the church) all the “In Him.” They are referring to us, you and me. They are for this life, not that which is to come. When are we going to start walking in them?
You have to see yourself accurately the way God sees you. There is no place for sentiments and false piety. That won’t cut it. The scriptures tell us,
"Sin [leaven, bloating, swelling, fluffiness, light-weightiness, kicking, unrighteousness, evil, wickedness, etc.] is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom [release] of God’s grace." (Romans 6:14, NLT, with my emphasis)
Guess what? God means just that. He is in no way mincing words. Our place is to agree and walk-in line. We ARE not sinners saved by grace. No, no, no. That is not our present address, block, nor identity. We changed our location. We changed bearing. We changed our identity. [2 Corinthians 5:21]
We WERE sinners, who were and are being saved by GRACE. We have a new address. We have a new block. We have a new avenue. We have a new street. We have a new home. We have a new identity. We now live on HOLINESS, GRACE, and TRUTH street/ avenue/ block/ home, empowered by the HOLY GHOST.
Hello! Saints of God. [Ephesians 1:1; Psalm 30:4, 115:14] We got resurrection power. The blood avails for us. Hallelujah! Let it show. [Galatians 5:25] We are not sinners seeking holiness. We are saints contending for our holiness by the presence and power of the Holy Ghost. [1 Corinthians 1:30; Hebrews 10:10, 14]
